Your IFHS Committee is pleased to invite you to visit the National Mapping Division, Tailte Éireann (formerly Ordnance Survey Ireland) The visit follows on from Tom Broderick’s talk to the Society earlier this year. Details as follows:

TIME & DATE

15.00 hrs Thursday, 3rd August  WE WILL MEET AT ENTRANCE DOOR AT 14.45

NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS

Maximum of 20 people.

If more than 20 members apply, places will be allocated in chronological order.

DURATION

Approximately 1 hr 15 minutes

PHYSICAL ACCESS

– there is a car park. However, attendees are encouraged to travel by public transport or car pool where possible.

– please be aware that there are physical access ISSUES: there are some steps at the entrance, and also 2 flights of stairs internally to the Room where the visit will take place.  THERE IS NO LIFT.

REFRESHMENTS

Lunch or light refreshments can be obtained beforehand at the restaurant at nearlby Farmleigh House.

(We need to supply final numbers to the National Mapping Division ahead of the visit.) 

[Please note that the room is also used as a conference room by senior management of the N. M. Division, so there is a slight possibility that the visit could be canceled at the last minute – if so, we will contact you by your email address or mobile phone text as supplied by you]

We are really delighted to have this opportunity to resume our outings for the first time in a long time, and we hope that there will be a good turn out. Most of all, we hope every attendee will enjoy the visit. which follows on from Tom Broderick’s talk to the Society earlier this year.
