NAI Genealogy Microsites

You may have noticed that the microsites at the NAI’s Genealogy portal are no longer available. In fact, if you use the old URL you are now simply dumped back at the main page with no explanations! There is a short blog on their website about the situation but it seems there is no timeline for the restoration of this information.

In case you can’t recall, the microsites allowed you to search collections such as the Tithe Applotment Books, Will Registers, Will Calendars, Merchant Navy crew lists and Diocesan Wills and Marriage Licences.

Luckily, Claire Bradley has provided an informative blog post indicating alternative sources for each of these collections. Thank you Claire!

Hopefully the NAI will provide more clarity soon regarding the restoration of access to these useful collections.
