Registry of Deeds Index Project

Update of 01 June 2025 – 629,064 index records from 64,636 memorials of deeds.

Thanks again to the continuing tremendous work of our volunteers we now have 629,064 index records from 64,636 memorials of deeds in our man database. There are also 703,835 townland index entries last updated 28 May 2025 and 52,757 grantor index entries last updated 24 May 2025.

It is interesting with the involvement of a baronet in the marriage settlement of lower status people. The question arises is, what is the connection between Sir Edward Crofton and Mary Knight.

Belfast News Letter

The surviving editions of the world’s oldest, continuously published English-language daily can now be accessed free by anyone with a library pass or an online subscription, after the completion of a project to digitise its surviving editions. Everything from the Crimean war to the Troubles in Northern Ireland are covered, thanks to the joint project between the Northern Ireland Office, the British Library and Findmypast.
